Old Main St Wharf?

Main St. Wharf? 1920s? Author's file.

Main St. (or North Vancouver Ferry) Wharf. 1920s. Author’s file.

This image is a recent acquisition, purchased at a metro Vancouver antiques/ephemera fair. There is nothing written on the back of the photo and there are precious few clues in the image itself, but I’ve recently reached the tentative conclusion that the photographer was standing on the former Main Street wharf – aka the North Vancouver Ferry wharf – (at the foot of Main) looking southward up the street.

  1. I’d agree. Burnyeats BC Ltd. was at 149-161 Alexander St. You can see it in the distance left of centre.
